Fox News Contributor Wishes for Obama's Assassination

Saturday, May 24, 2008

Hillary Clinton's latest "gaffe" has lowered her chances of getting the Democratic nomination, probably from 1% to .01%, barring the assassination of Barack Obama.

Daily News: We have seen an X-ray of a very dark soul. One consumed by raw ambition to where the possible assassination of an opponent is something to ponder in a strategic way. Otherwise, why is murder on her mind?

Obama senior strategist David Axelrod: "I don't think she's hoping for some tragic catastrophic event to intervene."
Back to Spookyville

For background on this you will want to read my 2-part post on the bizarre allegations of Dr. Sue Arrigo, which can be found here. Dr. Arrigo has alleged that she has twice treated Osama bin Laden after September 11, that AIDS is manmade, and that she was a remote viewer for the CIA. Others, including her sister, believe that she is a paranoid schizophrenic.

In the latest development Dr. Sue Arrigo has left a lengthy comment on my original post which can be read here.

As a covert asset of the CIA's I did not talk about my work inside the CIA even to my mother and closer sister Jean, until after my cover was blown. It is to my credit that my sister Linda did not know about my CIA work. I worked inside the CIA for many decades as a remote viewer for DCIs. I also worked in my outer life as a Medical Director for a company in a stable job for over a decade. No one at the CIA or that company ever thought I had a serious mental illness, or I wouldn't have been there the next day. These were the people I was working with everyday and knew me well enough to judge my behavior.

In Aug. 2004, I refused an assignment from Cheney to frame Iran as developing nuclear weapons. Cheney had asked me to go to Iran as a physician to treat children as a "humanitarian gesture". I am not a pediatrician and said so. He said a camera crew would go with me and in would rush an Iranian looking man claiming to know where the Iranian govt. was making nuclear weapons. By saying that I was too busy as a physician in California to stay more than a day in Iran, I got him to admit that the rest of the filming of the underground bunker was scheduled to be made in Hollywood anyway. It was a 'Wag the Dog" type of propaganda piece. After I refused, Cheney threatened the life of my mother.
The week after I refused, I was kidnapped in Virginia, tortured in an underground CACI facility next to CIA headquarters and injected with CIA designer drugs. After I was released, I was thrown into a mental hospital to try to prove that I was crazy. The CIA uses long acting BZ and amphetamines to discredit people.
The eyeball photo is from Dr. Sue Arrigo's site The CIA's Torture of ex-CIA Physician Sue Arrigo, MD. As Dr. Arrigo says,"The intelligence world is a strange one and often unbelievable to outsiders."

BIBLE CODE: OBAMA ASSASSINATED HILLARY CLINTON WINS AS PRESIDENT, WELCOMES ANTICHRIST 2010 AD

I don't believe in the Bible Code--hell, I don't believe in the Bible, but I'll give them credit for making specific prophecies and for making them before rather than after the events that are supposed to take place.

Michael Savage marked the news of Ted Kennedy's brain cancer by playing a Dead Kennedys song . That does not make him today's worst conservative ever, however. That honor would go to blogger Jane in her post Teddy Kennedy IS a tumor. A few excerpts:

And no one deserves a painful, lingering death more than a bloated pus bag who would have us peasants wait six months to a year for a well measured fraction of the medical care he has already received in the last , oh...fourteen minutes or so, all chocked up on silk pillowcases in his private hospital suite.
There are legions of seething Veterans, dignified widows and over taxed Middle Class Joes who would like nothing more than to actually take up arms to overthrow this run away Big Government beast gnawing at the heart of our once Great Nation, but until that day eventuates, will instead have to settle for the excruciating death of one of its many serpentine heads.
Charming, isn't she?
Newsmax: Zogby: Obama Leads McCain by Double Digits

Democrat Barack Obama has opened an 8-point national lead on Republican John McCain as the U.S. presidential rivals turn their focus to a general election race, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

Um ... 8 points would actually be one digit.

I just read George Packer's essay The Fall of Conservatism in the New Yorker. He describes how Richard Nixon, and conservatives since then, practiced the politics of polarization to advance Republican fortunes, and appealed to the basest instincts of Americans toward that end. He quotes from a revealing memo written by Patrick Buchanan to Nixon in 1971, given to him by Buchanan himself. Buchanan warns him that it's "a little raw," and it is and a little racist as well.

Finally, the memo recommended exploiting racial tensions among Democrats. “Bumper stickers calling for black Presidential and especially Vice-Presidential candidates should be spread out in the ghettoes of the country,” Buchanan wrote. “We should do what is within our power to have a black nominated for Number Two, at least at the Democratic National Convention.” Such gambits, he added, could “cut the Democratic Party and country in half; my view is that we would have far the larger half.”
I will not go so far as to say that Patrick Buchanan was a racist in 1971, or that he is one now, but at the very least he has a blind spot for racism, and hangs out with racists. I have commented on this before in posts titled "Racism and the Conservative Movement," parts one and two.

The difference between Buchanan 1971 and Buchanan 2008 is that then he was a central part of the conservative movement, and today he is on the fringes. It is not a coincidence that his wing of conservatism is today often called paleoconservatism. It is a conservatism of the past, a conservatism of racism, or at least racialism, and at times anti-semitism as well. It is a conservatism that is primarily defined more by what it is against than what it is, namely the other, those people with different color skins, different religions or no religion, different sexual orientation.

Patrick Buchanan is probably a nice enough man, he is a shrewd political observer, and he often makes a lot of sense on foreign policy. Modern conservativism could learn something from his critique of neoconservatism. But even conservatism cannot go back; it must go forward.

On my reading list: JFK and the Unspeakable

“Jim Douglass proposes a shocking rereading of the Kennedy presidency and assassination. He depicts a president deeply changed by the Cuban missile crisis and determined to end the Cold War with the USSR, change relations with Cuba and withdraw the troops from Vietnam. Thereby he became ‘marked for assassination.’ Douglass' message is that the greatest obstacle to world peace was and still is the secret National Security State that was built in the U.S. by the Cold War. To create a more peaceful world, U.S. Americans will have to take seriously the need to dismantle this secret government. Are we willing to take the risks?”—Rosemary Radford Ruether, Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary

Washington Post: Racism on the Campaign Trail

Victoria Switzer, a retired social studies teacher, was on phone-bank duty one night during the Pennsylvania primary campaign. One night was all she could take: "It wasn't pretty." She made 60 calls to prospective voters in Susquehanna County, her home county, which is 98 percent white. The responses were dispiriting. One caller, Switzer remembers, said he couldn't possibly vote for Obama and concluded: "Hang that darky from a tree!"

The Rev. James David Manning of Atlah World Ministries accuses Barack Obama and the Rev. Wright of having a closeted homosexual relationship. He also calls Oprah Winfrey a "whore". "Thus sayeth the Lord." This is really very funny.

Huma whispers sweet somethings into Hillary's ear
Update: video of Hillary & Huma here
Carl Bernstein reports for CNN that the Clinton campaign is looking for dirt on Obama: the Clinton campaign's search for damaging information and its hope that such information exists continues, according to knowledgeable sources.

Failing a catastrophic revelation about Obama, Bernstein cites sources who believe that Clinton wants the VP spot.
Stars and Stripes:

The U.S. Navy air wing commander for the USS Kitty Hawk’s strike group was relieved of duty Friday after an admiral said he lost confidence in the commander’s ability, according to a Navy spokeswoman.

A Capt. Gary Mace had this to say about the relieved commander: “Since I started working with [McNellis], he’s always been a moral compass for me, keeping me pointed in the right direction." Well, we can't have that.

Hillary "Eight Belles" Clinton's campaign needs to be put down.

"I hope that everybody will go to the derby on Saturday and place just a little money on the filly for me," Sen. Clinton told supporters in Jeffersonville, Ind., ABC News reports. "I won't be able to be there this year - my daughter is going to be there and so she has strict instructions to bet on Eight Belles."

Isn't that cute?

Unfortunately, Eight Belles came in second place to (I'm not making this up) a horse named Big Brown, suffered a fatal injury and had to be euthanized immediately following the race.
Could there be a better comparison to Hillary's campaign at this point? She ran a good race but she is in second place and is hopelessly damaged and needs to be put out of her misery, metaphorically speaking.
Terrorist Luis Posada Carriles Honored in Miami

Posada, a naturalized Venezuelan citizen, is alleged to have masterminded the bombing of a Cuban airliner in 1976 on which all 73 on board were killed, including a youth fencing team returning from a tournament in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas. He is also suspected of plotting a series of hotel bombings in Havana in the late 1990s, one of which killed an Italian tourist.

"There exists a database of Americans, who, often for the slightest and most trivial reason, are considered unfriendly, and who, in a time of panic, might be incarcerated. The database can identify and locate perceived 'enemies of the state' almost instantaneously."

An interestingMcClatchy newspaper story: Iranian outmaneuvers U.S. in Iraq

According to this story Brig. Gen. Qassem Suleimani commands the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force and is out-maneuvering us in Iraq. Of particular interest, admittedly according to anonymous US and Iraqi officials, Suleimani has:

Slipped into Baghdad's Green Zone, the heavily fortified seat of the U.S. occupation and the Iraqi government, in April 2006 to try to orchestrate the selection of a new Iraqi prime minister. Iraqi officials said that audacious visit was Suleimani's only foray into the Green Zone; American officials said he may have been there more than once.

Audacious ideed. The Green Zone is not considered safe enough for Bush or Cheney to visit but this guy slips in. We are playing checkers and the Iranians are playing chess.
Jean Palfrey's building manager doesn't think it was suicide

Palfrey’s building manager said she often told him she believed she was being followed and he thinks there may have been some former clients of her escort service who wanted her dead.

"She insinuated that there is a contract out for her and I fully believe they succeeded," her building manager said.

Palfrey's Lexus is still parked in the Park Lake garage and the staff said on Monday, she asked about making sure her condo fees would continue to be paid during what Palfrey anticipated would be six years in prison.

The Times: United States is drawing up plans to strike on Iranian insurgency camp

The US military is drawing up plans for a “surgical strike” against an insurgent training camp inside Iran if Republican Guards continue with attempts to destabilise Iraq, western intelligence sources said last week.

It appears we are looking at a "limited strike" designed to "send a message" to Iran. No way that could go wrong, right? Iran, presuming that they read The Times, will have moved everything of importance before the strike, and will undoubtably retaliate against American interests.
Although American defence chiefs are firmly opposed to any attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, they believe a raid on one of the camps training Shi’ite militiamen would deliver a powerful message to Tehran.

Alexander Cockburn reports that Secret Bush "Finding" Widens War on Iran .

Six weeks ago, President Bush signed a secret finding authorizing a covert offensive against the Iranian regime that, according to those familiar with its contents, "unprecedented in its scope."
This is particularly troubling:

Until recently, the administration faced a serious obstacle to action against Iran in the form of Centcom commander Admiral William Fallon, who made no secret of his contempt for official determination to take us to war. In a widely publicized incident last January, Iranian patrol boats approached a U.S. ship in what the Pentagon described as a "taunting" manner. According to Centcom staff officers, the American commander on the spot was about to open fire. At that point, the U.S. was close to war. He desisted only when Fallon personally and explicitly ordered him not to shoot. The White House, according to the staff officers, was "absolutely furious" with Fallon for defusing the incident.
According to Cockburn:

A Marine amphibious force, originally due to leave San Diego for the Persian Gulf in mid June, has had its sailing date abruptly moved up to May 4.
You should read the whole thing. We are going to be supporting terrorist groups, working to destabilize the Syrian regime, and all this, according to Cockburn, with bipartisan support

The Next First Family
Two reasons why I think that Obama will be the next President are pictured above, namely two really cute kids. Two more reasons why I think he will win are 1) 81% of the American people think that we are on the wrong track at home at abroad and they want a change and 2) the American people like Barack Obama and will probably like him more the more they get to know him.
"I believe George Bush and Dick Cheney plan to take care of Iran before they leave office."

So says retired CIA analyst Ray McGovern I guess we'll see how good an analyst he is.

From the Rigorous Intuition discussion board. Did George Bush Plot to Assassination Jimmy Carter in 1976.

In November, 1975, plaintiff was taken to see a rogue ATF Agent named Ed Truxa. Agent Truxa used plaintiff as an informant in a case involving a Milwaukee gun store.

Then, in 1976, Agent Truxa took plaintiff to an ATF agency meeting in Waukesha County, where he was introduced to George Bush, Sr. During the meeting, plaintiff was told to get handgun and rifle shooting samples for Agent Truxa. Plaintiff was given a written examination and subjected to various "indoctrinations."

At some point, plaintiff was asked to assassinate presidential candidate Jimmy Carter. To assist [*6] him in this endeavor, Agent Truxa gave plaintiff Jimmy Carter's travel itinerary which showed that the presidential candidate was staying at the Pfister Hotel. Plaintiff refused to follow Agent Truxa's orders, which made plaintiff a danger because he knew the individuals responsible for planning the assassination.

Jeane Palfrey, the DC Madam, is dead. Murder or suicide? Conspiracy speculation is inevitable, of course.

She told Alex Jones that she would not commit suicide. Listen here. This was before her trial and conviction, however, and she certainly could have changed her mind. See DC Madam Predicted She Would Be Suicided

During several recent appearances on The Alex Jones Show, Palfrey also said that she was at risk of being killed and that authorities would make it look like suicide. She made it clear that she was not suicidal and if she was found dead it would be murder.
Investigative reporter Dan Modea says she told him that she would commit suicide rather than go to prison, quoted in this Time story.

"She wasn't going to jail, she told me that very clearly. She told me she would commit suicide," author Dan Moldea told TIME soon after news broke of her body being found in Tarpon Springs, Florida, an apparent suicide.
Palfrey was free pending a July 24 sentencing hearing, so one might ask what was the hurry to take her own life? This is the second suicide in the case, the first being escort Dr. Brandy Britton, also known as Alexis Angel.

Dan Moldea is the author of a book on the RFK assassination The Killing of Robert Kennedy which argues that Sirhan Sirhan alone was guilty of the crime. That book contains an alleged confession by Sirhan that many have questioned and which he strongly denies. See this article The Curious Case of Dan Moldea.

Suddenly, in the midst of their conversation, Sirhan started to explain the moment when his eyes met Kennedy’s just before he shot him. Shocked by what Sirhan had just admitted, McCowan asked, "Then why, Sirhan, didn’t you shoot him between the eyes?" With no hesitation and no apparent remorse, Sirhan replied, "Because that son of a bitch turned his head at the last second."
CNN: Poll: Bush most unpopular in modern history

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Thursday indicates that 71 percent of the American public disapprove of how Bush his handling his job as president.

"No president has ever had a higher disapproval rating in any CNN or Gallup poll; in fact, this is the first time that any president's disapproval rating has cracked the 70 percent mark," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland
.
The Guardian on Obama vs. Clinton

The Clinton campaign has succeeded in boxing him in as the black candidate, rather than one who transcends race, as he prefers to see himself. The Clinton camp denies adopting the tactic though it has been apparent since January.
"As a nation, America is under the curse of God, even now."

Will Barack Obama repudiate this latest anti-American verbal outrage by Pastor Wright? Oh, wait a minute, this was said by Pastor Hagee, whose endorsement John McCain sought out and welcomed.
